Musical Theater

For 23 years,  we have been operating everything we do from a storage unit, or a warehouse, with rehearsals being held in churches, the hospital, the Ballet Workshop, on our loading dock, even at the fountain in downtown Port Angeles.

Dancing on the loading dock at our last set shop (Cori Lumens, Denise Williamson (choreorgrapher), Trent Pomeroy, Don Scott) in a scene from Once Upon A Mattress

Rehearsal practice in that set shop. (Shawn Dawson, Lindi Lumens (rehearsal pianist) and Amanda Bacon)

Making props amid the the set building.

Making props and sets in the set shop with rehearsals going on at the same time.

Well.......

This madness has got to stop, and it will soon.

We bought a building and land to consolidate all our efforts in one place.

This is what it looked like when we got it.

We are building another building to be our set building shop, mock stage and storage space as shown below..

We need help with plumbing, electrical work, roofing, carpet, vinyl, etc. If you would like to help with this project, just let us know.

This drawing (by Garrett Lumens) was the working drawing of the new PALOA Center. The project has changed over the months, and will look a great deal different.

And the balloons fly as the ground is broken.

The lot when we started, Groundbreaking, the building arriving on a truck

footings for the slab, starting the framing

closing up the wall of the old building, more framing

The framework of the new building is just about complete.

The new lobby door and the window in the costume shop are being installed in the old building.

The roof is just about finished.

The first pieces of siding go up on the back of the building

The interior dividing wall between the workshop and the theatre is beginning to take shape.

The Old bathroom door went away and was coverd from the outside, and the concrete is being filled for the new bathroom toilets.

The new siding goes up on the new building.

The new building is almost done.

The Old doors come off for framing, and the dividing wall in the building is done. Looks like a tornado hit doesn't it?

The osb goes on the side of the original building, and then the Green Guard and the new doors, window and new matching steel sheeting.

The insulation going up in the bathrooms, and the new steel going on the side of the old building.

The old roof comes off, and the new one goes on.

The new lobby goes up.

And even with doors.
