PALOA Patron Membership

The Port Angeles Light Opera Association (PALOA) is a non-profit organization 501(c3) whose purpose is to produce musical theater of a professional quality on the North Olympic Peninsula in Western Washington. PALOA enhances the community's cultural environment by providing entertainment, performing and educational opportunities. PALOA encourages participation from individuals of all ages and backgrounds living on and around the Olympic Peninsula. You financial support may be fully deductible.

There are many things that can be said about the magical world of Theater. How enriching it can be, how exciting it can be to provide an outlet for all the wealth of talent that is to be found in our part of the peninsula. But one thing that students of and professionals in the performing arts will tell you: Theater is a collaborative medium.

Over the years audiences on the Olympic Peninsula have been magically transported to many wonderful times and places through various shows produced by PALOA; the classic antiquity of ancient Rome in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, the Depression era in Annie, the Land of Oz, Brigadoon, and last summer, the exciting wild, wild west in Annie Get Your Gun. But this "magic" is not real magic; it is the combined efforts of many skilled artisans, actors, scenery builders, costumers and hours and hours of production and rehearsals.

Our generous patrons are a part of this stellar cast of intrepid souls who make each show a success at PALOA. Ticket sales do not alone underwrite the cost of a production. The generous support of our Patrons through the year provides early seed money to purchase costume materials, get scripts, pre-pay for royalties and support on going education efforts through PALOA and much, much more.

We would like to invite you to join our production team and help us continue to bring exciting, quality musical theater to the North Olympic Peninsula. You can do this by renewing a previous pledge or by becoming a new patron. Patron pledges are tax-deductible and all patrons will be recognized in the program of Once Upon A Mattress next summer.

Thank you for your generous support and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s show.

The Lead Role : Patron

At the Port Angeles Light Opera Association, great musical theater is our mission. Thousands of ticket buyers confirm this priority season after season. However, ticket sales merely provide part of our operating budget. We depend upon your annual contributions to make up the all-important difference.

The Port Angeles Light Opera Association is the spirit of the North Olympic Peninsula’s thriving arts community ~ a world-class assortment of talent. Each season PALOA endeavors to bring together talented volunteers for an experience of a lifetime, by presenting outstanding musical theater, innovative concerts, and a wide range of education and community outreach programs designed to bring the inspiration of musical theater to all. PALOA provides rich learning opportunities in various theater craft by combining new talent with outstanding professionals to produce one great musical per year. Our peninsula’s talented performers in the orchestra, chorus and actors, and the many artists involved in scenery creation, costuming, and various other production tasks, all devoted to providing fine entertainment through arduous work, appreciate your patronage. Our patrons helped Annie Get Your Gun become a huge success; one of our finest productions yet. Through Annie we learn that dreams are necessary - that love and belief are keys to open the doors of happiness, and that "there’s no business like show business".

Ticket sales alone cannot sustain a great endeavor such as this. The PALOA patron has the lead role in our city’s musical theater. Only through the contributions of generous patrons and unshakable dedication of talented volunteers can musical theater continue to thrive in our area. We invite you to be recognized in the future program of Once Upon A Mattress by continuing or surpassing your tax-deductible pledge. Invite a friend to share in this exhilarating experience either through patronage or volunteering. Your timely giving generates an important part of PALOA’s annual musical operating budget, allowing its growth toward musical theatrical excellence and recognition. Your support ensures the future success of PALOA.

For your convenience, we now accept Visa/MasterCard/Discover as well as checks.

We appreciate your fine performance as patron in all PALOA productions, and thank you in advance for accepting the lead role of patron in Our show.

Sincerely,

The PALOA Board of Directors
